Stork Gears & Services B.V. utilising extensive knowledge of gearboxes, as well as advanced gear technology, are specialists in the manufacture, repair and modification of gear units, gear wheels and other gearbox related spares of various make.

As we are a service organisation all our operations are as flexible as possible in order to ensure the shortest possible delivery times. Our clients are ensured of high quality because of our own gear production facilities and an engineering department, which is not only focused on design but repair techniques as well. This unique combination often results in a modification instead of just repairing.

Stork Gears & Services has a large machine department for mechanical manipulations. We can give work items for gearboxes and machining the following treatment here:
(CNC) turning horizontal and vertical, (CNC) boring and milling, universal milling, slotting of keyways and grinding. Below is a selection of our machines:

Turning horizontal/vertical
Our turning lathes will be used for numerous modifications to gearbox components, such as the making of head axial and radial hole patterns. We have several machines for vertical and horizontal turning.

Boring and milling
Our horizontal boring and milling machines are designed for precise milling, coordinate boring and complicated work items up to a weight of 12,000 kg. Using our new boring machine WHN 13 CNC we mill your work items faster then ever with the highest contour accuracy and reliability.

Grinding
A grinding machine is a machine tool used for producing very fine finishes or making very light cuts, it uses an abrasive wheel as the cutting device. Its intended applications require extremely high precision machining and very tight tolerances.

Keyseating/slotting
Key-seating is a machining process in which internal shapes and forms are cut using a single-point cutting tool to cut internal keyways.

Gear hobbing and Shaping
Stork Gears & Services has a wide range of gear hobbing machines in order to guarantee fast production.

Gear grinding
Stork Gears & Services has advanced gear grinding machines to provide the quality required by the market. These grinding machines enable us to deliver the highest quality available. Profile corrections such as tip and foot relief, high barrelling, end bevelling and flank line barrelling are programmed by a CNC-control.

A grinding quality of the gears is guaranteed to class 4 according to DIN standard 3962. It is also possible to measure the total gear quality such as profile, flank line and normal pitch deviation. Using this machine a print-out of the corresponding measurement graphs is given.

Lasercladding - innovative technology
Increase the lifetime of critical high wear components
Lasercladding - with its origin in the aerospace industry - is an advanced lasertechnique for applying metallic coatings to components using a powerful diode laser. It is used for the protection against wear and corrosion of new components and the repair of damaged components. After thorough research in cooperation with worldclass research institutes Stork Gears & Services discovered the enormous advantages and possibilities of lasercladding. Over the years, our Lasercladding department is fully equipped to respond quickly and accurately to the wishes of our customers. Our lasercladding equipment may be used to apply different coatings and can even be operated onsite.
